APRIL MEETING
MEETING: Sunday, April 11th. 6:30 pm
Luke Collins has rafted on the San Juan River in Southeaster Utah for a number of years. He will present a slide show of a compilation of a number of trips. The river flows thru some of the most fantastic red rock canyons rich with history of both of early settlers and Native Americans. Some of the canyons are deeper than the Grand Canyon and present a unique geological history of the area. Please make plans to join us for this exciting presentation featuring the land down under! The meeting will be at our usual location, the hospitality room of the First Security Bank on Emma Street in Springdale.
Refreshments starting at 6:30 PM followed by the general meeting at 7:00 PM.
FROM SCOTT CROOK, OHTA President:
OHTA Members:
When I took over from Tim Ernst as President of OHTA last Spring, I thought that I would have to work my tail off, especially since I knew how much work Tim put in each month. I actually got off pretty easy. The OHTA Board of Directors pitched-in and divided the work-load among themselves and left me little to do. I want the Board to know that I greatly appreciate their effort.
With the end of my term coming up, Wade Colwell will be taking over as OHTA President. I’ve known Wade for over thirty years, and I’ve worked with him on several projects including many OHTA projects from the early days of the club. With the enthusiasm and help of the current Board, I have no doubt that Wade will do a fine job of leading OHTA into the future. Don’t worry--I’ll still be around, lurking in the background, helping where I can. Old habits don’t die easy.
Thanks to all!
Scott Crook
