Title: Build OHT/BNR Trail Hwy 65 to Hwy 14 Location: Marshall, AR Description: On Saturday February 11, volunteers are welcome to continue the effort to complete this 28 mile addition to the Ozark Highlands Trail/Buffalo River Trail near Tyler Bend.
If you have interest in volunteering on the extension of the OHT/BNR this Saturday, I will be driving down and would be glad to have company.
I will be at Root School in Fayetteville for a 6:40 departure. I plan to stop for breakfast in Harrison before meeting Ken Smith in Marshall at at the Harp’s store parking lot at 9:30 a.m.
Work is trail prep, using loppers or a bow saw to top small trees and saplings in the flagged line of the future trail. You can bring your own tools, or Ken has some to borrow. This is not hard work but is vital to facilitate work by trail diggers later in the season. So dress for the weather, pack a lunch and have a great day outdoors.
If you are interested in carpooling, give me a call.
