We’ve received word from Mark Hodge at Hagarville Grocery that the bridge over Big Piney Creek at Fort Douglas will not be torn down.  County Judge Houston announced March 20 that an agreement has been reached that will save this piece of history.  The bridge’s future has been uncertain for a couple years after ARDOT’s decision to build a replacement in its place instead of along side.
