SUMMARY:OHT East Fall Base Camp
DESCRIPTION:This Maintenance Base Camp will enable us to take care of some problem areas from Ozone (mile 84.7) to Woolum (mile 164)\, getting the trail ready for hiking season and trail runs/events that the OHT will be hosting. \nThis Base Camp will be a camping event. So\, you can bring your camping gear- We have sites 5 to 9 reserved. Haw Creek Recreation Area has a vault toilet. For showers\, we will set up an area to hang solar shower bags. (We have 3 solar shower bags). Also\, we will provide BREAKFAST\, LUNCH\, DINNER for all participants. We will have one of the OHTA equipment trailer at Haw Creek. Hard hats\, equipment\, and safety gear will be provided\, if needed. Members and nonmembers are\nwelcome. \nWe need individuals to help in many ways- Loppers\, Sawyers\, Trimmers\, “Swampers” will be needed on the trail. We can also use help in the camp- if you can help cook\, clean\, take care of the camp– that would be greatly appreciated as much as working on the trail. \nWe need to get numbers for each camp so we can order food and T-shirts\, so please sign up on the link below. After the cutoff date (Oct. 1 )\, please contact us. \nWe will begin Trail Work on Friday October 6 at base camp at 9:00am.
