Title: Backpack OHT Section 1
Location: Lake Ft. Smith, Frog Bayou to Hurricane Creek
Description: A nice and easy 7 mile overnight backpack trip on part of Section 1 one of the OHT. The hike will be along portions of Lake Fort Smith and scenic Jack’s Creek, and end with a nice 500 foot climb to Dockery’s Gap and descent down to camp near Hurricane Creek. Only a short 1/2 mile hike out Sunday morning leaving time for further exploration of the area. We will make it back to Fayetteville in time for the OHT meeting on the 10th. This will be an easy to moderate trip.
