New trail registers are coming to the Boston Mountains segment of the OHT.  The first was installed December 2nd at Cherry Bend.

Walmart generously donated the material and labor to make it happen at the Walmart Sign Shop in Bentonville, Ark.  They are made of aluminum and feature a map of the immediate area on the inside lid, a notebook for comments, and of course a place for USFS registration cards.  The cost of mounting posts, supplies, concrete and installation is covered by a grant from Federal Express.

To show our appreciation for the crew in blue at the Walmart Sign Shop, OHTA supplied a pizza lunch and a framed print from Bill Dark.
