Location: Matney Knob – Twin Creek
Description: Meet at 9:30AM at the Matney Knob trail head, the northern terminus of the OHT’s Sylamore section, located about 2.3 miles southwest of the intersection of Highways 201 running south and east out of Mountain Home and 341. From there we will carpool to the intersection of Twin Creek Rd. and County Road 108. We will hike west from there a couple hundred yards to where the trail intersects Twin Creek Rd. (if you’re traveling south from Matney Knob), and then we will begin our journey north back to Matney Knob. Total distance of the hike will be approximately 6.25 miles, and given the distance and the length of some of the uphill stretches, it is rated as moderate in difficulty.
