20 May Wayne Fulmer, Trail Ranger
Wayne Fulmer of Des Arc is the 10th recipient of OHTA’s Trail Ranger award. Wayne helped build the Sylamore section of the OHT in the early 2000s and has been heavily involved in maintaining it ever since. More recently he had a large role in the design, approval, and construction of a couple more miles at each end of the Sylamore section to extend the trail west to the Lower Buffalo Wilderness boundary and east to the White River. He has helped to build and maintain the North Sylamore Creek Trail from Barkshed campground to the Cripple Turkey trail head and has led Scouts, members, and friends of the OHTA in these endeavors and imparted valuable skills and knowledge to them.
