Location: North Sylamore Creek Trail – Blanchard Springs trail head to Allison trail head
For those who have never hiked the North Sylamore Creek Trail, it is one of the most scenic trails in Arkansas. This section of the North Sylamore Creek Trail is replete with waterfalls, bluffs, views of North Sylamore Creek, and creek crossings that will not require water shoes and one crossing for which you will want to be wearing your water shoes.
Distance of hike: approximately 4.75 miles
Difficulty of hike: moderate due to undulating terrain
Meeting Time: 9:30 a.m.
Meeting place: Allison trail head
Plan: From Allison trail head we will shuttle participants to the starting point at Blanchard Springs trail head and hike back to the Allison trail head. Note that just before getting to Allison trail head, we will be crossing North Sylamore Creek where water shoes are recommended.
Extras: All ages welcome. Please bring a lunch, water, and proper hiking gear (boots, headlamp, cap/beanie, gloves, etc.)
