Location: Indian Rockhouse and Rush Mine trails
Distance of hike: approximately 5 miles total, two different trails
Difficulty of hike: moderate to strenuous due to undulating terrain
Meeting Time: 9:30 a.m.
Meeting Place: Buffalo Point Ranger Station, Buffalo National River. From Yellville, AR go out on Hwy 14 for 13 miles to intersection of Hwy 268, turn left. The Visitor Center is 3 miles down on the right. You can also get here from the north on Hwy 14.
Plan: After we hike the Indian Rockhouse Trail we will drive our vehicles north on Hwy 14 to the Rush Mine turn-off on CR 6035 for 5 miles to a small gravel parking lot on the left.
Extras: All ages welcome. Please bring a lunch, water, and proper hiking gear (boots, headlamp, cap/beanie, gloves, etc.)
