We received the following information from the Big Piney District of the Ozark National Forest regarding facilities that have been closed and those that remain open.  Note that all bathroom facilities should be considered closed, even if they are not locked.

Update on Big Piney Recreation, All toilet facilities are closed.  We have stopped janitorial cleaning of vault toilets.

Closed:

–          Long Pool Camping loops A, B, C and day use.  Big Piney Creek access remains open for canoe drop off only.

–          Moccasin Gap Campground

–          Richland Creek Campground.  Richland Creek access available at the county road.

–          Sam’s Throne Campground.  Walk in access to the climbing area is open.

–          Haw Creek Campground

–          Bayou Bluff Campground

Remaining open:

–          Shelton Point Shooting Range

–          Alum Cove Scenic Trail

–          Pedestal Rocks Trail

–          Brock Creek Trail system

–          Moccasin Gap Trail system

–          Ozark Highland Trail and access points at Fort Douglas, Fairview and Stack Rock

–          Upper Buffalo Mountain Bike Trail system

–          Whitaker Point Trail in Upper Buffalo Wilderness Area
